Milly

Golden-Shepherd Mix, Tooshie Zoomies

Milly is a Lab/Golden mix with Anatolian Shepherd in her — and she’s proof that sweet doesn’t mean simple. Every morning when the gates open, she lights up at the sight of her mom and sister, zooming around with her signature wiggly tooshie.

She’s incredibly good with puppies — like, unbelievably good. She plays with them, corrects them, and teaches them boundaries better than most humans could. But like her sister, she grew up being blamed for things that weren’t really her fault, so she’s skeptical of people at first. Once she trusts you, though, she’ll smother you with affection.

Milly used to clash with one of our dogs, Mavi. After being spayed, she calmed down, and now the two of them tear around like old friends. She’s playful, protective, and absolutely loves big dogs. Cats? No problem — she grew up with two kittens and still loves to chase-play with them.

She loves water, being in nature, and long walks — though let’s be honest: leash walking is not her strong suit. A 200-meter stroll can take ten minutes and several pep talks. She grew up on the farm, not in a city, so traffic, loud noises, and chaos will take time for her to adjust to. She needs patience, calm, and someone who understands she’s never really done “urban life.”

Oh, and one last note: she gets carsick. If you’re on the road a lot, she’s not your match. But if you want a loving, playful, puppy-whispering, water-loving farm girl with the cutest zoomies you’ve ever seen — Milly’s your dog.
