Mavi
Mavi came in rough — he was skin and bones, had an open wound, and a suspected car injury that damaged his knee.
He’s an extremely affectionate dog.
He notices attention, fairness, and favoritism more than most — and will absolutely make it known.
He’s also a fast learner.
Very responsive, very quick to pick things up, and generally easy to work with.
Energy-wise, he’s playful and a bit ridiculous.
Chasing butterflies, barking mid-play, picking fights with crows — he keeps himself busy.
With other dogs, he’s mostly easy.
Good with females, generally fine with others, but may challenge dominant males occasionally.
He’s not a problem dog, but when he gets overstimulated, he can become reactive.
That’s where guidance matters.
On leash, he’s good.
Off-leash, he’s improving — recall is still a work in progress.
He listens well when corrected and adjusts quickly.
What he needs is:
basic structure and consistency
someone who can read the early signs of overstimulation and manage it correctly
disciplined guidance
He’s becoming a very stable dog.
Not complicated.
Just needs some direction.
✿ He is neutered and fully vaccinated.
