Daisy

Daisy didn’t arrive here — she followed one of our older dogs back to the farm and stayed.

At the beginning, she wanted nothing to do with people.
She hid, avoided contact, and only came out when she felt safe.

It took time to even touch her.
Much longer for her to trust.

She’s come a long way since then.
With the people she knows, she’s affectionate, soft, and constantly looking for connection.

But the fear is still there.

New people, noise, or sudden changes will push her back into avoidance.
She doesn’t react with aggression — she withdraws.

She has very little structure or basic training.
Leash work is weak, recall is unreliable, and she hasn’t had enough focused work yet to fully come out of her shell.

That also means her potential is still unknown.

With other dogs, she’s generally easy.
Low energy, low maintenance, and able to exist without creating problems.

What she needs is:

  • stability and routine

  • patience and consistency

  • someone willing to build her from the ground up

This is not a beginner dog.

She’s for someone who understands what it means to work with fear —
and is willing to invest time without expecting quick results.

If given that, she has the capacity to become something very different from what she is today.

✿ She is neutered and fully vaccinated.
